Chances are you have probably found this site through one of the many Urban Exploration forums or you have just done a Google search for one of the sites I have visited. This being the case, there isn't really a vast amount of point doing a long intro 'cos I'm sure you know why your here. If your new to this hobby then you might have a few questions which I have outlined below. I post on most forums under the user name Els.

Q and A

    Q. What is Urban Exploration?

A. It is the exploration of mostly disused man made structures that are generally not available to the public. There is a derivative of Urban Exploration known as infiltration which is the access of structures or buildings that are still live and in use.

Q. Is it dangerous?

A. Well, generally speaking the reason why access is not allowed to most of the sites I visit is because they are dangerous. In most cases if your careful and apply common sense it's OK. Still, some places I've been in are downright lethal.

Q. Why take pictures?

A. As a way of documenting an explore as well as capturing the past for posterity. Some explorers are also quite happy not to. Derelict structures often make for stunning photography.

Q. Is it illegal?

A. It generally counts as trespass which is illegal but not criminal. The overriding concern is that the site is not forcibly entered and that no criminal damage takes place once inside. Things like railways and live utilities buildings are more of a grey area = possible major bollocking.

Q. Will you provide information/guidance/help for me to access for any of the sites on this website?

A. Nope so don't waste your time trying. Most of these sites have incurred a fair amount of research trying to figure where they are let alone how to get in; why should I part so easily with such hard won information? Still, I am open to bribes. Join one of the many urbex forums and/or use Google.

Q. Can I use your pictures.

A. Sure, if you pay.
